Natalie CookWorld champion beach volleyballer ... Olympic Bronze Medallist, Atlanta 1996, Olympic Gold Medallist, Sydney 2000, 4th in Athens, 2004...

I had a dark cloud over me in my preparation for Athens 2004, When I suffered a bad injury. As I live and train in Brisbane, QLD - I had consulted some of the best practitioners and therapists in the country and still I could not overcome my pain and injury.

After I flew to Sydney and was introduced to Phill, he explained quite simply to me that I had developed a very bad imbalance in my body, caused from the repetitive nature of my sport. As a result of the acupressure and deep tissue therapy that Phill specialises in, he was able to balance my body and relieve my pain in just one treatment and put me back in the game!! I was absolutely amazed at the lasting affects that this treatment gave me!! "You are simply the best Phill, thanks for your magic hands."

Love Nat ...

Glen Boss
Glen BossAustralia’s No.1 Group 1 Jockey – Winner of 3 Melbourne Cups / Cox Plate / Golden Slipper and numerous other Group 1 Races…

I had a bad fall from a horse and landed heavily on my left buttocks and really hurt my back. It caused a large haematoma which I had to have drained by a doctor.

As time went on my back and hip pain became extremely bad to the point where I was having to take pain killers and anti inflammatory’s to ride and my form had really dropped as a result of this problem.

I was having regular treatment from various different reputable therapists but none of them seemed to be able to take away my pain.

A friend of mine referred me to Phillip Hanney for treatment and told me “if he can’t fix you than no one can !”

Phill explained to me that I had a lot of scar tissue built up in the hip and the gluteus muscles which was affecting my lower back and that my left leg was a lot shorter than my right leg as a result of all of this. He told me that it was going to hurt as it was so bad and he was not wrong !!

I had just three treatments that were very painful and he told me I couldn’t do anything for 3 days after each one. Three or four days after my third treatment my pain had completely gone and has never returned.

Phill got me back on the track just in time for the Spring Carnival in 2005 and I went on to win The Cox Plate and the Melbourne Cup for the third consecutive year.

I can not thank Phill Hanney enough for his efforts as I could not have done it the way my back was.

Phill, Your hands have kept me on the Track !! Thanks Mate,

“BOSSY”

Michelle Engelsman

Being an Olympic swimmer I’ve had the opportunity to work with many different therapists. Phill’s healing hands certainly rank his myotherapy techniques at the very highest of treatments I’ve ever received. I’ve left each appointment feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and certainly much more relaxed and recovered! Phill has helped me get through stressful periods such as moving house, whilst still maintaining top physical form for training!

Thanks Phill!

I had developed an injury in my right elbow (Epicondylitis) caused by repetitive movement in that area over a long period of time. I received treatments from Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and GP's over a five month period and none of these seemed to work. I was advised by a GP that cortisone was the only answer. I was referred to Phill by a friend and after the first treatment noticed a huge improvement. Six weeks later I am now back at the gym in full training mode. I don't know how I could ever thank Phill enough for what he has done for me. I will continue with the Myotherapy Treatments on an ongoing basis for my overall wellbeing.

Paul Simpkins
Paul SimpkinsNational Rugby League Referee

In April 2004 whilst refereeing a game of rugby league I was Involved in an incident that resulted in my lower back colliding with the goal post. As a result of this collision I suffered a dislocated Coccyx and other lower back pain. I was unable to get out of a chair and walk without stretching my back first. At this stage the injury threatened the remainder of the season for me.

The lower back symptoms persisted for some time despite receiving treatment from a number of reputable therapists. After speaking to some friends about my injury, they recommended Phill Hanney.

After my first appointment with Phil I noticed a remarkable improvement in my back. This was followed by further treatment over the next three weeks, by which time I felt no side effects from my injury.

I am so impressed by the treatment Phill Hanney offers that I intend to engage his services regularly in future Rugby League seasons to assist me in injury prevention.

I appreciated the treatment and results Phill provided me and have no hesitation in recommending his professional services to any person seeking relief from pain and injury.

Condition: Plantar Fasciitis (heal pain)
I have suffered with chronic pain in my left heel for over two years and was diagnosed with having Plantar Fasciitis.

During this two year period I was having regular on going treatment with supposedly one of the best physiotherapists around and also a supposedly very reputable podiatrist. Over this two year period I had a heel lift made for one of my shoes, orthotics, a plastic boot with a brace up to my knee that they told me I had to wear everyday, and a plastic splint to sleep in every night. I had to wear all of these things on a daily basis, because of the severity of the pain I was in and if I didn’t – the pain was unbearable. Not to mention all of the pain killers and anti-inflammatory’s I was taking.” I had spent thousands of dollars with these people and my pain was not improving”!! They told me that this was the only way this condition could be treated and I had also read this in medical books so I believed them. I also tried acupuncture and still no change, in fact it was getting worse.” These people told me I would have it for life”!!

I was told about Phill Hanney so I thought I would try something different. When I first met with Phill he was in absolute disbelief that I had this problem for so long and these people could not fix it and disgusted in the fact that they had cost me so much money in treatment and having all of these braces and splints made for my leg.

Phill explained to me that this problem is a simple muscular imbalance in the leg that was very easy to correct if treated properly but after feeling the severity of the problem he told me it would take a good six or seven treatments, possibly more. The problem muscle that Phill pointed out to me was in my calf and behind my knee and was just about unbearable to touch but he told me that this had to be released. Not one of the therapists that I had seen had ever touched on these areas at all.

Straight away Phill threw my heel lift in the bin and said I never needed this. After the second treatment I had stopped wearing the boot and leg brace. Three more treatments and I didn’t need to sleep in the splint anymore and Phill told me to take the orthotics out of my shoes. Four more treatments and I was back to coaching two soccer teams, running and bushwalking with no pain at all.

Thanks to Phill Hanney, the condition is now no longer a factor in my life!!

I would certainly recommend anyone suffering with chronic pain to see Phill Hanney.
